THE RESOURCES OF THIS WEEK, Wk4, (Please use some of them) :
Reading Assignments

1. Perry and Lindell chapters 5 and 6
2. Selected journal articles

– The assignment of this week is as follows:
1. One of the most important decisions an emergency manager will ever face regardless of the disaster incident type is whether to evacuate or shelter in place. Locate one natural and one terrorism-related or man-made disaster by searching the internet. Defend the decision to evacuate or shelter in place and then discuss why the prevailing science of this disaster type says that the decision to evacuate or shelter in place is a good one. You can not choose the same disasters as any of your classmates.

2. Discuss the risks and benefits as well as the similarities and differences of notice vs no notice mass evacuations. A notice incident or event is one (such as an approaching hurricane) that citizens can be informed of with enough time to develop a personal plan. A no notice incident is a sudden onset disaster such as terrorism or a tornado. Think about mass evacuations preceding a hurricane. Could such an evacuation process actually result in deaths? What are the implications of mass evacuation, contraflow traffic patterns, limited housing, etc.?
– Please follow ALL the previous instructions AND MAKE SURE TO READ THE MATERIALS OF THIS WEEK TO ANSWER THIS ASSIGNMENT(AS MENTIONED IN THE QUESTION WHICH CAN BE FOUND IN THE ATTACHMENTS AND THE READING ASSIGNMNETS OF THIS WEEK.
– There are two questions and I put one page put please go beyond 1 page to cover both questions and ALL their details without neglecting any part because the professor is very strict (do checklist please to avoid missing even small points of both questions).
. . Please read these instruction from the beginning and apply all of them. Please also print out all the attachments of this courses and send you’re your confirmation about all that. Best regards!
